Service to Dedicate a New Standard

A Service of Dedication of the New Standard of The National Malaya and Borneo Veterans Association Mid-Ulster Branch was held in St. Mark’s Parish Church Armagh at 1530 hrs on Sunday 9th May 2010.
The service was well supported and was conducted by the Rector of St. Mark’s Revd Canon John W. McKegney M.A.  The Preacher was Revd Barry Paine and the Organist was Mr Harry Anderson.
VIP Guests, listed below, were welcomed by Branch President Mr Dan Faulkner, Chairman Mr Ron Moore and Secretary Mr Nigel Coulter

Col Arthur Reid read the first lesson and Trevor Percival, Association Chaplain read the second lesson.
Mr Tony Baker MBE Branch Standard Bearer presented the new Standard for Dedication
The parade was led by The Old Boy’s Military Band and the twelve standards listed below from the church to The Royal British Legion Hall Armagh where a reception buffet was provided.

Nepali Night

Three NMBVA members, Noel Nash, Tony Baker and Leslie Smallman attended a Ghurkha meal and Quiz evening on Saturday 8th May by kind permission of Lt Col Matt Wills, RAMC.
The meal was prepared Captain Bir Gurung and his wife Raj.
